On April 9, 2011, Kiera’s Chuck Wagon Supper Fundraiser for the International Foundation for CDKL5 Research was held at Eckerts Country Restaurant in Belleville, IL. Activities for the evening included silent auction, a raffle and 50/50 drawing. The host restaurant served a delicious meal and a well-known local country western singer, Johnny Guitar and friends provided music for the evening. Approximately 170 people were in attendance. Jill Eckert Tantillo of Eckerts Country Restaurant provided the facilities and the food at no cost, and Johnny Guitar and friends also donated their time for their appearance. Drs David and Katheryn Frame (President of the IFCR) and Kiera flew in from Michigan to attend the fundraiser, as Belleville is David’s hometown where he was born and raised. The fundraiser raised close to $7900.00 for IFCR.
