In conjunction with the town of Old Saybrook, Youth and Family services and Bills Seafood, a fabulous evening took place on June 11, 2011 at the Kate in order to support “Team Avery” in their efforts to raise both awareness and funding for CDKL5 research. There was a benefit concert by three different bands. Brent Knight did a special appearance to sing his  beautiful “Avery Rose” song and there was a silent auction and teacup raffle organized by many volunteers from the Old Saybrook Community. The event was a huge success and we were able to raise almost 30,000.00 for IFCR!! A huge thank you to such a very compassionate and generous community. There were also two guest appearances made by our CDKL5 families. We are so happy that Louise and Mia could be there with us for such an amazing night.
