Each month, Central Elementary School in Grand Rapids, MI hosts a donation day with each grade (K-5)taking its turn in selecting the charity and the special day.   For the month of November, Ms. Kristeen Hendsbee’s  4th grade class chose to donate to the IFCR to wear their pajamas to school.  Each student donated $1.00 to the effort, and they raised $600!
This 4th grade class not only helped raise money for the IFCR, they also helped raise awareness.  They learned all they could about CDKL5 and then went to each class to teach them about it!  They also made posters to draw attention to this devastating disorder and that a cure is desperately needed.
Thanks to them, many students, parents, and teachers now know about CDKL5. Thank you Ms. Hendsbee, her 4th grade class, and all of Central Elementary!
