Fundraising

Thank you for your interest in fundraising for the IFCR! The bulk of our budget comes from the incredible fundraising efforts of our CDKL5 community. Whatever type of fundraiser you host, large or small, we are appreciative of your efforts, and we are here to support you. Reach out any time! Email Marissa, IFCR’s Fundraising Committee Chair, at mbishop@cdkl5.com.

Our Fundraising Committee has put together some “how-to” guides that may help:

Unsure what to say about CDKL5 or how to talk about the work we do? Look here:

A note – please be sure to say thanks. Part of fundraising responsibly is expressing gratitude for your donors. The IFCR sends a message of thanks when we receive donations directly, but it is always good practice to express your own gratitude personally as host. Simple messages on social media, texts, or handwritten notes are easy ways to show your appreciation. Include a bit about why their donation is making a difference for your loved one with CDKL5. This will be welcome news to your caring friends and family!

Getting Started

We ask that you request permission before using the IFCR name, logo or tagline (“hope love cure”).

Move CDKL5 Forward

Our annual “Move CDKL5 Forward” event takes place every year throughout CDKL5 awareness month in June! We invite our CDKL5 community to create their own personalized fundraising page and get out to move (walk, run, bike, roll – however!), spread CDKL5 awareness, and fundraise for us.

Facebook Fundraisers

Facebook makes it easy to do an online fundraiser. Log in to Facebook and visit the IFCR Facebook page. From there, click “Raise Money” to see how easy it is to set up a Facebook fundraiser in support of the IFCR.

Just Giving

Another great option for online fundraising is Just Giving. This amazing fundraising tool can get you set up in minutes. You’ll be able to set a fundraising goal, post messages, describe your mission, and add photos and videos. Once your page is ready to go, you can easily share it with friends using email, Facebook, Twitter and other social media.

Bonfire

Another great option for online merchandise sales is Bonfire. Bonfire is a free online platform where anyone can design, sell, and buy custom products. They handle payment processing, order fulfillment, and customer service so you can focus on connecting with your community while supporting IFCR.

Amazon Smile

Do you like to shop on Amazon? Excellent – because you can use AmazonSmile to donate a percentage of your purchases to the IFCR. So all those things you were going to buy anyway suddenly become a great way to fundraise!
